As mobile phones become more and more integrated into many people’s daily lives, the availability and use of “apps” takes on new importance. When moving to a new country, it is not a strange question to ask, “what apps work here”? Although many of the apps you used in the country you made Aliyah from will also work here, there are a few that might be unique to Israel or new for you.
The following list represents many of the most common or popular apps used in Israel. It is by no means exhaustive, but should provide you a good base to start from. They should be available for Apple and Android phones, just search for them in their online stores. If they aren’t, there usually are replacement or similar apps that provide the same functionality.
